Beaufort Sea,
Camden Bay

Beaufort Sea, Camden
Bay I stayed up till four a.m. one July on the shores of Camden Bay at
the Beaufort Sea. The scene that morning was perhaps one of the most beautiful
I had ever viewed anywhere. The landscape was silent, the air was remarkably
clear, and yet the foggy clouds quickly crossed low in the sky. Ironically
I was camped at "ground zero" of the ANWR 1002 area, where there
is most likely oil.
