Cloud Mystery celebrates the embrace of the earth by hovering clouds. It was painted on location on the west bank of the Hulahula River in the Arctic Wildlife Refuge in July of 1996. Four artists spent nearly three weeks here painting and hiking. One of us, Annemarie Dietzgen, is accomplished in fly fishing and we had grayling cooked on hot rocks for several suppers. As you can see, it was a rainy trip.
