| Atigun
River Most of the Atigun River is west of and outside the Refuge. Its headwaters are in the glaciers of the Endicott Mountains, within the Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve. The Atigun flows to the northeast. It is crossed by the Dalton Highway and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, and then continues for about ten miles within the Arctic Refuge, where it flows into Sagavanirktok River, very near a small corner of the Refuge's western border. |
