Requiem For Roger Alkyd on canvas 6' x 3' Our pilot in 1993 who flew us into the Upper Marsh Fork valley of the Canning River was Roger Dowding. He was a superb and creative flyer who loved the Brooks Range. He was regarded as the pilot most knowledgeable of the mountains east of the oil pipeline and west of the Canadian border. Roger was killed when his plane crashed only a few weeks after he flew us out. |
